Refund Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

The Japanese version of this document is the governing text; this English translation is provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the Japanese version prevails.

This Refund Policy (this "Policy") sets out how Crabgrass Inc. ("we", "us" or the "Company") handles refunds, cancellations and billing errors for paid plans of "ZENITH Code" (the "Service"). This Policy forms part of the Terms of Service. Paid plans are sold by Paddle as Merchant of Record, and refunds are issued through Paddle.

1. General Rule (Monthly Plans Are Non-Refundable)

The paid plans of the Service (Pro and Business) are subscriptions that renew automatically each month.

Because most endpoints can be used on the free Free plan, and the parameters and response format of endpoints available only on higher plans can be checked beforehand in the sample responses in the documentation and in the API viewer, fees once paid are not refunded except as provided in this Policy. We do not give prorated refunds for cancellation part-way through a billing period, nor refunds for unused quota.

Extra Tokens (tokens purchased in advance to use beyond the monthly quota, as defined in the Terms) must be used within 12 months of purchase. Expired or unused Extra Tokens are not refunded (except in the cases in Section 2).

This Policy applies to the Pro and Business plans purchased from the pricing page (which have no annual plan). Refunds, cancellation and billing errors for the Enterprise plan (including annual prepayment under a one-year term) are governed by the separate agreement with us, and this Policy does not apply to it.

2. When We Refund

In any of the following cases we will, after reviewing your request, refund the full or an appropriate amount.

  • (1)Billing errors: duplicate charges, charges at the old price after a plan change, a renewal charged after cancellation was scheduled, or any other incorrect charge caused by our or Paddle's processing.
  • (2)Discontinuation of the Service: where we discontinue the entire Service (Article 13, paragraph 3 of the Terms of Service). We refund the portion of fees already paid that corresponds to the period after the discontinuation date.
  • (3)Where a refund is required by applicable law.
  • (4)Any other case in which we decide, taking the individual circumstances into account, that a refund is appropriate.

We do not refund or reduce fees for any period in which the Service was unavailable because of a failure or interruption (including scheduled maintenance, emergency security measures and unplanned failures). When a failure occurs we will use reasonable efforts to restore the Service promptly and endeavour to tell you by email to your registered address or by other means. However, where the unavailability results from our wilful misconduct, gross negligence or any equivalent cause, we will decide how to respond in light of the circumstances.

Please submit refund requests within 30 days of the charge concerned. As a rule we cannot accept requests made after that period.

3. Cancellation (Stopping the Next Renewal)

You can schedule cancellation of a paid plan at any time from "Plans & Billing" in the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you can keep using the paid-plan features until then. Once cancelled, no further automatic renewals or charges are made.

After the billing period ends, your account automatically moves to the Free plan. Your API keys remain valid, but the Free plan's quota and rate limits apply, and requests beyond those limits are rejected.

A scheduled cancellation can be reversed from the dashboard at any time before the end of the billing period.

If you would like your account itself deleted, please contact us.

4. Proration on Plan Changes

An upgrade takes effect immediately and the difference for the remaining days of the current billing period is charged on a prorated basis. This adjustment is not a refund and is handled separately from the refund conditions in this Policy. A change to a lower paid plan takes effect at your next renewal date and you keep your current plan until then, so no refund or credit is given for the difference in the current billing period.

5. How Refunds Are Made

The refund procedure is as follows.

  • (1)To request a refund, email support@zenithcode.net from your registered email address with the date and amount of the charge, the transaction number shown on your Paddle receipt, and the reason for the request.
  • (2)We will normally review the request and reply within 5 business days. If the refund is approved, we instruct Paddle to issue it.
  • (3)Refunds are issued through Paddle to the payment method used for the original payment. After Paddle processes the refund, it usually takes 5–10 business days for your card issuer or bank to post it to your account.
  • (4)Refunds are based on the amount you paid (including consumption tax). We do not compensate for differences due to exchange-rate movements or for fees charged by your card issuer.
  • (5)You may also request a refund directly from Paddle (following the instructions in your Paddle receipt email, or through Paddle's buyer support site at paddle.net). Paddle will refer the request to us and we will handle it under this Policy.

6. Unrecognised Charges

Your card statement will show Paddle's descriptor beginning "PADDLE.NET" rather than our name. If you see a charge you do not recognise, please contact us or Paddle before raising a chargeback with your card issuer; most cases can be resolved quickly under this Policy.

If a chargeback is raised, we may temporarily suspend the paid-plan features of the account concerned while we investigate.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may change this Policy. The amended Policy takes effect when it is posted on the Service and applies to charges made after that time.
