Japanese Equity Data API
Japanese earnings, prices and filings — via API on the day they're published.
We parse TDnet earnings releases on the day they come out and return prices, daily valuation metrics, full financial statements, major shareholders, human capital and corporate events — all with one API key. Every value traces back to the original filing, and AI agents can use it directly.

Statements exactly as filed — or just the key figures.
Get the same results three ways: “as filed (full)” reproduces the table the company filed, with every line item, heading, subtotal, depth and order; “standard” gives the key figures under the same names for every company; and “short” narrows that down to a handful of headline figures.

This balance sheet has 64 rows up to 4 levels deep, and the income statement 23 rows. Across all companies, statements go up to 6 levels deep (balance sheets and statements of changes in equity). Every row carries its depth, parent_key, sort order and XBRL tag — including items the company defined itself.

Pick what fits your use
- As filed (full): reproduce the filed table and follow every line item — for in-depth analysis and due diligence. You can also trace which row each standard figure came from.
- Standard: compare revenue, profit and EPS across companies — for screening and peer analysis.
- Short: when you only need a few headline numbers for several companies, or want to keep data handed to AI small.
One row, as delivered: “土地” (Land)
The highlighted row in the table arrives from the API in this shape — 16 fields for a single line item. Sort, depth and parent rebuild the filed table, and master_key links it to the standard fields

Earnings releases on the same day
We have collected TDnet and EDINET disclosures since 2014 — 1.3 million unique documents, of which 370,000 have parsed XBRL. Earnings releases are parsed a median of about 46 minutes after disclosure (measured over the last 30 days) and structured on the day of publication (around 16:30 JST), including company and dividend forecasts, and replaced with audited figures once the annual report is filed.
Prices and daily valuation metrics
Daily prices since 2010, plus market cap, PER, PBR and dividend yield recalculated from each trading day's close. Disclosure data and prices come from one API (price data is provided under our agreement with the exchange).
Built to go into your product
From the Business plan you can show financials, dividends, major shareholders and valuation metrics to your own users. Raw prices and TDnet documents themselves may not be shown to third parties under our exchange agreement; the line is spelled out in the terms and the data list.
Statements as filed, every line in its hierarchy
Original PDFs and XBRL, XBRL facts and account hierarchies, statements mapped to standard accounts, per-period metrics, and price-based metrics — every layer is available by API. Using the securities code as the key, we join TDnet and EDINET and merge both sources for 4,324 companies. Each financial row carries its source document and a link (99.9% of rows with values).
Disclosures and prices in one API
No need to stitch together separate services — what you need to analyze Japanese equities and build products comes together here.
- Price history
- Daily prices since 2010, with market cap, PER, PBR and dividend yield recalculated from each trading day's close
- Earnings releases
- Reflected around 16:30 JST on the day of publication, then replaced with audited figures once the annual report is filed
- Market-wide aggregates
- Gainers and losers, new highs and lows, sector performance
- Filing files
- TDnet and EDINET PDFs and XBRL by API key, including documents no longer on the official sites

]An API with screens that are easy to use
Try before you fetch, and read the results comfortably afterwards — so you can check the data even if you don't write code.
Try it in the API Viewer
Sign in to run any endpoint with your own parameters and check the response as a table, JSON or CSV (each run uses tokens).
API Viewer
After signing in, pick parameters and check the response as a table or JSON, then save it as CSV.
Usage and freshness at a glance
The dashboard shows your usage, what's left, and when each dataset was last updated.
Data you get from one API
Stock prices, financials from earnings summaries and annual reports, major shareholders, dividends, shareholder benefits and market-wide rankings — all with one API key and one plan, so you do not need to combine separate services for prices and disclosures.
Same-day earnings (TDnet)
TDnet earnings reports are reflected on release day (around 16:30 JST) — months ahead of annual-report-based services — including guidance and dividend forecasts.
Price history & technicals
Daily prices back to January 2010 plus 52-week range, moving averages, volatility, max drawdown, Sharpe ratio and period returns. The decisive gap against filing-only APIs that carry no prices. Market cap, P/E, P/B and dividend yield are recalculated from each business day’s close — not just at fiscal year-end (data under our exchange agreement).
Every line item & segments
Not just headline metrics: every filed line item in its original hierarchy, plus reportable segments (sales, profit, assets, capex) one row at a time — all with source-document links.
Workforce (human capital)
Headcount, average age, tenure and annual salary by segment. Mandatory human-capital disclosures delivered as reconciled, structured JSON.
Major & 5%+ shareholders
Top-10 holders from annual reports and 5%+ holders from large-holding reports, structured per holder, with reverse lookup by investor name (reverse lookup from Business).
Event feeds
Extraordinary reports (M&A, officer changes), dividend increases and cuts, splits and reverse splits, the TDnet disclosure list and delisting schedules — everything a portfolio monitor needs.
FRED macro & Fear/Greed
Key US and Japanese macro series (policy rates, CPI, unemployment, bond yields) synced from FRED, with a release calendar and a Fear & Greed index.
MCP server & CSV export
An MCP server is included as standard, so AI clients such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot and Cursor can query 72 tools directly. Endpoints that return lists can also output CSV with ?format=csv.
Japanese and English
Company and sector names come as nameJa / nameEn and sectorJa / sectorEn pairs; label switches with ?lang=ja|en or Accept-Language (English by default). Docs and dashboard are available in both languages.
